Moist Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together butters, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, then stir in vanilla and milk. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the chocolate chips. Drop vy heaping tablespoons.
Bake for 9-10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on cookie sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  1. I made these cookies over the weekend and they were very moist, and DELICIOUS! I loved the whole wheat flour - it gave them a slightly different taste.
