Ice Cream!! Err.... Banana-milkshake-icecream....

DELICIOUS! I may never buy icecream again! A quick and simple way to have a healthy dessert. Not your typical milkshake or icecream... Fruit blended with milk to make the "icecream" and toppings to complete the dessert! Here are some variations we enjoy! **The overripe is essential!

Banana Split
3-4 cups frozen overripe bananas
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Chocolate syrup
1/2 cup chopped peanuts

Puree frozen bananas. Add in milk and vanilla until thoroughly blended and stiff. Scoop into bowl. Top with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with peanuts.

Neopolitan
4 cups frozen overripe strawberries
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Chocolate Syrup

Puree frozen strawberries. Add in milk and vanilla until thoroughly blended and stiff. Scoop into bowl. Top with chocolate syrup.

Chocolate Peanut Butter
3-4 cups frozen overripe bananas
1 1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup Chocolate Syrup
1/4 cup chopped peanuts

Puree frozen bananas. Add in milk, peanut butter and chocolate syrup until thoroughly blended. Scoop into bowl and top with chopped peanuts.

I also enjoy slices of fresh bananas or strawberries, when in season, with these toppings. They don't have to be frozen and blended with milk to make a dessert!
